Originally, our customer’s deck was in poor condition and was unsafe to use. We removed and replaced all the floor sheeting and rotten floor joists. Next, we installed Grace Ice and Water Shield to protect the new floor sheeting and allow for dry-storage beneath the deck. Finally, ground-treated 2x4s were spaced for airflow beneath the Trex decking to allow water drainage off the deck and to avoid pooling and future rot.
