Instead of gutting all the drywall on this remodel, we were able to remove the old drywall tape then retape and texture, which saved both time and money. Three factors caused the old tape to tear: the structure settling, an earthquake, and a lack of drywall blocking. Originally, no door existed to the office entry, so for this particular space a sliding barn door worked perfectly. For the finishing touches we added new baseboards, trim, and a fresh coat of paint.

Scope
- Remove carpet, baseboards, and floor boxing
- Demo/remove old joint tape
- Support drywall corners & edges with blocking or metal clips
- Tape drywall joints, apply 3-4 coats of mud to hide joint tape
- Repair wall stress cracks, holes, covered unwanted gang boxes (phone box)
- Install sliding glass door
- Texture wall to match existing
- Install baseboards & trim for door & window
- Install sliding barn door
